Coordinator Community Outreach - Careers At Sundance Institute
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Temporary Coordinator, Community Outreach supports Sundance Institute?s efforts to build meaningful connections across Colorado communities in advance of the Sundance Film Festival?s move to Boulder in January 2027.

• Partnering with the Audience Development and Experience team to support outreach tied to audience growth campaigns, engagement initiatives, and public programming.
• Coordinating closely with the Associate Director, Audience Development and Experience to align outreach efforts with audience development priorities, timelines, and campaigns.
• Collaborating with the Director of Colorado Community Outreach and Government Relations to share updates on community relationships and engagement activity, align on external partnerships and stakeholder engagement, and ensure consistency in messaging and avoid duplication of outreach efforts.
• Supporting Marketing and Communications by connecting community partners to campaigns, events, and storytelling opportunities.
• Working cross-functionally with Audience Development and Experience, Marketing, and Programming teams, and collaborating closely with the Director of Colorado Community Outreach and Government Relations to ensure alignment with broader community partnerships and external stakeholders.
You have the following direct or transferable qualifications and skills:
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in community outreach, nonprofit work, event coordination, partnerships, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse communities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organization professionally.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Colorado?s cultural, nonprofit, or community landscape, particularly in the Denver metro area.
• Experience supporting events, community programs, or public-facing initiatives preferred.
• Ability to gather insights and translate community feedback into clear, actionable takeaways.
• Proficiency with basic tracking tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM systems) is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
You will be successful in this role if you...
• Build and maintain an active pipeline of community contacts, introducing at least 30 new organizations to the Institute through consistent outreach and follow-up.

• Collaborate effectively across teams to ensure community engagement efforts are coordinated and executed smoothly.
