The Live Sound Engineer/Event Technician will oversee Audio at the Sun Valley Resort in collaboration with visiting Crews and the Pavilion Technical Director. The primary venue is the Sun Valley Pavilion, a 1,561-seat Amphitheatre in the resort community of Sun Valley, Idaho. Shows vary from conferences to classical music, Rock n' Roll, and everything in between. The ideal candidate would have a passion for teamwork, variety, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Requirements:
Advanced digital and analog sound systems knowledge, including Yamaha, Behringer, and Avid systems.
Advanced knowledge of sound processing equipment, including Meyer Galileo and d&b Audio's DS family of processors.
Advanced knowledge of audio networking, including Dante, Madi, and AES50.
Knowledge of Clear-Com distribution and deployment.
Professional Sound Engineering experience at various live event venues is required, preferably a mixture of road and house experience.
Assist with load-in/load-out of road shows and must be able to set up and strike all internal sound equipment as needed.
Must be able to work long hours and manage an irregular schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and work for long periods.
Must be willing to assist in all aspects of production, including Sound, Lighting, and Video.
Assistance with building upkeep and basic cleaning will also be required.
Must be flexible and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Must be willing to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure the success of shows.
Specific duties include: (but are not limited to)
Operate the sound system, mix live shows, and run sound checks as needed.
Coordinate with TD to plan and execute the technical sound aspects of each show, including patch configurations.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair audio equipment.
Coordinate and advance all sound aspects, including backline, on all shows/events with the TD.
Work closely with visiting sound crews and other departments to ensure professional execution of the show.
Assist with the set up of daily rehearsals and concerts, changing as concert schedule and layout dictates.
Maintain safe working conditions and practices in accordance with industry standards and governing bodies.
Attend all rehearsals and production meetings as needed
Additional duties may include:
Light office work such as filing, sorting, etc.
General help with all Pavilion operations, including cleaning and other tasks
Fulfill various roles in concerts/productions
Use of Ladders and lifts
Basic harnessed grid work
Assist with hanging lighting fixtures
