Role Description
This is a full-time PR Senior Account Executive role at SUBJECT. As a SAE, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing strategic communication plans, managing media relations, creating and distributing press releases, and leading public relations initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience across various industries including spirits, luxury lifestyle, art & design, beauty, business, tech, sports and more. This is a hybrid role, primarily based in New York, NY, with the flexibility for some remote work.
• Work with the team to develop PR/marketing/influencer plans including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
• Develop PR plans, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, digital and social media
• Manage a small team of PR professionals and ensure deadlines are set, met and reported on to senior leadership
• Leverage existing media and influencer relationships and cultivate new connections on behalf of the agency and clients
• Draft press releases and craft pitches on behalf of clients; pitch stories to the media, field media questions and liaise with media to develop successful, meaningful pitches on behalf of clients
• Identify and confirm influencer framework for clients, managing budgets, scope of works, outreach, tracking and more
• Prepare media kits, pitch decks and brand materials
• Oversee event planning and manage PR team on site at events
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on behalf of all clients on an on-going basis
• Assist in celebrity outreach for high profile client events and social amplification
• Lead client communications, weekly calls, virtual and in-personal meetings, pitches, etc.
• Oversee client reporting and meet weekly, monthly annual deadlines
• Conduct media monitoring to stay informed on client industry trends and recommend ways for clients to enhance image, generate media coverage
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, PR, Communications
• 2-4 years of PR agency experience
• Understanding of the integrated marketing world - PR, celebrity, influencer, events, social amplification, etc.
• Large rolodex of media and influencer contacts
• Ability to create visual presentations and reports in Canva, Powerpoint, etc.
• Strong writing skills and creative thinking
• You are upbeat, fun & positive, with an ear to the floor about what is current in all forms of entertainment and pop culture
• Team player! Work well and communicate with your peers and leadership.
• Entrepreneurial by nature. With ability to forecast problems, and provide outside the box thinking
• Ability to work in high-stress environments, multi-task and manage deadlines within a team
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude
• Detailed and goal oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
• Must be flexible in evenings and weekends for travel and events
• Proven ability to work independently and confidently
• Understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
• Vast knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel). Adobe InDesign & Photoshop a plus
• Domestic and International travel may be required
• Experience working with celebrities a bonus
