Position Overview:
ErosSTX, a publicly traded global entertainment company, is looking for a Manager, Content Finance & Deal Analysis. This person will be responsible for building and maintaining film greenlight and talent models in addition to managing digital data aggregation and forecasts, financier and talent reporting, and ad hoc analysis. This is a high-visibility role, requiring strong relationships with senior leadership across the company in Business Affairs, Creative Development, Production, International Sales, and Distribution. The successful candidate will have the aptitude to tackle multiple projects, problem-solve and efficiently and accurately execute deliverables.
Responsibilities:
DEAL ANALYSIS
-Build and maintain film greenlight models based on historic data analysis and understanding of existing deals
-Assist in building & maintaining finance plans for production lending
-Financial modeling and analysis of talent, distribution and equity deals for feature films while working closely with senior executives from -Finance, Business Affairs, Domestic and Intl Distribution and Development throughout the negotiation process
-Track and report upon changes to financials for STX films in active development, release, and the post-theatrical window-
-Research entertainment industry trends to contribute to company strategy and evaluate potential partnerships
OPERATIONS / STUDIO FINANCE
-Support preparation of participations and residuals reporting
-Track development spending to target
-Connect non-theatrical & physical home entertainment business groups with corporate finance team to determine and update monthly close ultimates
-Collaborate with Corporate Finance to validate changes to monthly close ultimates
DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION / HOME ENTERTAINMENT
-Manage analytics, BI and strategic planning across digital platforms for STX distributed theatrical film product
-Establish methodologies and maintain forecasting for STXs new release and catalog ultimates for PVOD, EST, iVOD and CVOD
-Guide analysis and modeling for emerging methods of distribution, including PVOD, day-and-date theatrical release, and direct-to-streaming sales
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
-MBA preferred
-3+ years of relevant experience that may include previous roles in finance, consulting, technology or media. Entertainment finance experience preferred
-Fluency in PowerPoint and Excel, particularly complex formulas & modeling
-Familiarity with contractual language; able to translate written deal points to quantitative analysis
-Strong communication skills; experience in highly networked role preferred
-Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
-Motivated team player who drives process improvements and promotes synergies across multiple groups
