Social Media Coordinator
POSITION PURPOSE OR SUMMARY
The Digital and Social Media Coordinator will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand. Ultimately, this person is able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Work with graphic designer and editor to design and create graphics for all digital/social media platforms
*Develop creative to support content planning and promotions
*Implement social media strategies across a variety of online and social media platforms
*Scheduling social media and website content on a recurring basis
*Assist in the management of social media platforms in a manner which is consistent with Studio Enterprise policies and adhere to style guide
*Capture/create daily content for social platforms including but not limited to shooting/editing photos and videos
*Contribute to the campaign's behavior change goals and objectives, oversee campaign implementation on an ongoing basis, and report on social media performance.
*Monitoring social media channels for performance and activity and interacting with users based accordingly
*Studying social media trends across all platforms and reporting any changes or opportunities to the team
*Internal organization of social media and website content
*Ensure that all content is fresh and relevant in order to increase engagement, following and user experience
*All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, experience, certifications, etc.)
*3-5 years previous experience in digital media, graphic design or a related field
*Strong conceptual and design skills are necessary
*Experience in managing a variety of social media platforms
*Strong knowledge/understanding of social media best practices
*Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
*Experience working with Adobe Premier, Final Cut, iMovie and/or other video editing software a plus
*Ability to work on both Mac and Windows platforms
*Strong time management and organizational skills and commitment to quality creative work
*Self-motivated, disciplined and able to work independently
*Ability to complete assignments by deadlines in a very detailed and thorough manner
*Exceptional communication skills, including written and editorial acumen
*Strong attention to detail, grammar and proofreading skills
*Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings including evenings, weekends and holidays
ADDITIONAL/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
*Bachelor's degree in digital media, graphic design or a related field a plus
*Entertainment or education industry experience
WORK REQUIREMENTS (requirements for mental, physical components of job)
The duties of this position are performed at various venues and events including a multi-story office building with elevator access. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see, and operate standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and telephones. The employee is frequently required to walk, and to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time. Position requires finger dexterity, ability to bend, kneel, and reach; may be required to stand for extended periods on occasion. Movements regularly required of fingers, hands and wrists.
