Strategy PR/Consulting - New York City
Position: Associate, National Publicity (Entry Level)
Professional Duties:
• Organize calls/meetings internally and with clients.
• Conduct research as needed.
• Maintain client-related or company-related publicity documents, including status reports, calendars, critics grids, schedules, reaction/quote memos, contact sheets, etc.
• Clip, compile, and service press breaks for clients.
• Take notes at meetings or on calls with clients and/or staff, and follow up on action items.
• Manage publicity materials, including photos/stills, clips/trailers, promotional material, etc.
• Draft or revise press materials, including memos, press releases, bios, press notes.
• Manage day-to-day client follow-up with press, third parties, or internally with staff.
• Cover screenings, press days, and events as needed, including press check-in, providing screening reports, and covering talent.
• Support the team in organizing press days, junkets, and premieres.
• Liaise with press as needed for reactions, PR material needs, fact-checking, pitching films and talent, setting up interviews, etc.
• Liaise with clients as needed to support the team and projects, including handling print requests and setting screenings.
Job Requirements:
• College Degree with ideally one year of related work experience.
• Impeccably organized and detail-oriented.
• Highly computer literate and social media savvy.
• Good instincts, strategic, and forward-thinking.
• Solid writing and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment, excel at multi-tasking, and have a genuine interest in television/film/awards/entertainment.
• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
