THE INTERNSHIP
The STORY HOUSE internship is a part-time, in-person opportunity for students eager to deepen their understanding of scripted film and television development. Interns are trusted, active members of our small and collaborative team, gaining hands-on experience in creative evaluation, research, industry operations, and the craft of storytelling.
As a close-knit company, we value curiosity and mentorship. Interns are encouraged to ask questions and engage deeply with the development process. In addition to supporting active projects, interns are invited to observe STORY HOUSE roundtables-intimate weekly creative conversations with writers, directors, producers, and executives that offer a behind-the-scenes look at how stories are shaped from idea to screen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read scripts, books, and articles; write thoughtful and professional coverage
Conduct creative research to support ideation, pitch decks, IP search, and active development
Assist with internal databases, project tracking, and industry research
Support STORY HOUSE roundtables, including note-taking, guest prep, and room setup
Assist the STORY HOUSE Coordinator with scheduling, event logistics, and co-working space admin
Sit in on select creative meetings and observe story development in action
Provide general administrative support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
A genuine love of storytelling and interest in film development
Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Calendar)
Professional communication style and attention to detail
Warm, collaborative energy and a self-starting attitude
Availability to work 2-3 days per week, in person, at our Los Angeles office
This internship is unpaid and for academic credit only. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program that offers credit for internships.
