Animation Studio seeking Human Resources Generalist / Manager. The Human Resources Department at the Studio includes not only Human Resources, but also Recruiting, Training, and Artistic Management. The Generalist is responsible for performing human resource administrative work and providing analysis of various human resource programs and initiatives. Performs a wide variety of human resource services which may include benefits administration, recruitment/selection, performance reviews, employee relations, classification/compensation plans, health and safety. In addition, the Generalist supports the Head of the Department with all Recruiting, Training, and Artistic Management needs.
Reports to: Head of Human Resources
Responsibilities:
'' Maintain employee personnel files, maintain data in company HRIS systems, ADP and Bamboo.
'' Run the onboarding program; create new hire packets, assist with employee inquiries, collect and track employee confidentiality agreements per production.
'' Conduct and review background checks for Full-Time New Hires.
'' Support Head of Human Resources in the recruitment process by helping to post position openings, screening applications; scheduling interviews and defining selection criteria.
'' Build and maintain Artist Database for Studio use and talent retention.
'' Create materials and attend Recruitment Events to attract new talent and build contacts.
'' Administrator for all insurance plans, includes new hire offers, enrollments and terminations.
'' Review and provide necessary responses to Disability and Unemployment Claims.
'' Point of Contact for benefits administrators externally.
'' Manage the maintenance of HR files and I-9's for compliance.
'' Coordinate mandatory Sexual Harassment Training and track participants for compliance. Implement other training as needed.
'' Advise employees and distribute information regarding benefits, compensation, policies and procedures; provide assistance and staff support to departments/divisions as requested; answer public inquiries concerning job openings, employment verifications, and general information.
'' Address employee issues as they arise, partner with Head of Human Resources to recommend next steps.
'' Manage quarterly Internship Program working closely with Hiring Managers and Artistic Leads to recruit new talent. Manage events, Lunch N Learns and any other events as needed.
'' Make recommendations for employee handbook updates based on changing state and federal laws. Assist in the implementation and application of new and existing personnel policies.
'' Manage offboarding process; liaise with production, payroll and IT to ensure proper tracking and system processing. Conduct exit interviews as needed, maintain data for quarterly reporting.
Basic Qualifications
'' Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration or related field
'' Three to five years of human resource experience with generalist responsibilities
Additional Qualifications
'' SHRM-SCP/SPHR or SHRM-CP/PHR certification preferred (or in the process).
'' Strong proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel skills)
'' Animation Industry Experience preferred
'' Strong analytical skills
'' Excellent process and problem-solving skills
'' Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills
'' Excellent organization, administrative and communication skills are necessary in order to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
'' Ability to effectively interface with various levels of management
