Intern - Casting

This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship

STEWART/WHITLEY is seeking a full-time casting intern to begin in mid July. Must be available to interview the week of 7/6/15.
Looking for smart, pleasant, motivated individuals with terrific organizational, problem-solving skills, and initiative. The ideal candidate wants to learn about all aspects of theatrical casting from the ground up and will bring a positive attitude into the office and the casting room.
Prior experience in a casting/agency office is REQUIRED- applications without casting/agency experience will NOT be accepted. The ability to work with minimal supervision on individual projects (plays and musicals) is a must. Knowledge of musical theatre and pop culture is an asset. We emphasize hands-on training and are looking for someone who will be a vital member of our team. Actors need not apply.
Responsibilities include preparing audition sessions, contact with agents, managers, and other theatrical professionals, answering phones, various research etc. The intern will also work directly with the casting associate and casting directors - reviewing agent submissions, creating idea lists, preparing audition sessions, and assisting in the auditions.
Internship length is negotiable but is typically 4 months long in duration. School credit or a monthly stipend will be provided.
