As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our accounting team.
In this role, you'll be an integral part of the agency's financial operations, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and managing payments to our clients, vendors, and suppliers. Our accounting team is expanding and supports the four Stewart Talent offices. This role can be based out of the New York or Chicago office but will have responsibilities in both the NY & LA agencies. All Stewart Talent offices work on a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office(T,W, R) and 2 optional remote (M,F)
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management: Generate, issue, and track client invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
Collections: Proactively monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue payments, and collaborate with clients and talent to resolve payment issues.
Payment Inquiries: Serve as point of contact for payment-related inquiries from clients, talent, and vendors. Provide clear communication on payment statuses and resolve discrepancies.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date records of all AR transactions, produce regular reports on accounts status, and assist with month-end close processes as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team and management to ensure consistent financial reporting and support cross-functional operations.
Handle additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or comparable industry experience.
This candidate ideally has a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting roles, ideally within the entertainment or talent agency industry.
Experienced Excel and Microsoft Programs
Facility with InEntertainment very important
Knowledge of SAG-AFTRA rules is beneficial
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle a high volume of transactions and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
