DESCRIPTION:
Internship - Stand-Up Comedy Production & Scouting
Steinberg Talent Management is seeking motivated internship candidates with a passion for stand-up comedy, talent scouting, event production, marketing, and the business of entertainment. This is a hands-on opportunity for those looking to break into the industry through the exciting world of live comedy and artist representation.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are available during evening and weekend hours, as much of our work—including live scouting, talent evaluation, and event support—takes place during that time.
Responsibilities Include:
• Scout and attend live stand-up comedy shows, providing performance notes and talent feedback;
• Promote talent, shows, and company initiatives through social media and industry platforms;
• Assist with production and on-site support for comedy shows and industry events;
• Coordinate meetings, auditions, and tapings;
• Communicate with agents, casting offices, and production teams;
• Support internal admin tasks including email correspondence and document creation;
• Represent the company in both virtual and in-person professional environments.

• Reliable, self-motivated, and observant with excellent follow-through;
• Strong communication and writing skills;
• Authentic interest in comedy, the arts, and live performance;
• Naturally curious, discerning, and confident in expressing creative opinions;
• Comfortable working independently and on-site at live events;
• Committed to professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be eligible for academic credit (documentation required);
• Must be available for evening and weekend hours;
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities;
• Basic knowledge of office software, industry databases, and social platforms.

Steinberg | Hanible represents actors, stand-up comedians, writers, and producers. We also produce original content and provide consulting services.
Location: New York City (some virtual work possible, but local candidates strongly preferred)
Compensation: Academic Credit Only
Time Commitment: 15-40 hrs/week for a minimum of 3-4 months

This internship is unpaid and offered for academic credit only.
