Summary of Position
Coordinator, Acquisitions will support the Acquisitions department. This position requires a film enthusiast who can handle a variety of administrative duties in support of daily operations while demonstrating strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
Responsibilities
• Maintain calendar and scheduling for Acquisitions department
• Make travel arrangements and prepare itineraries and expense reports as needed
• Schedule meetings with potential business partners e.g., agents, film reps, distributors etc.
• Data entry, filing and tracking of all incoming and existing creative/administrative documents, including screeners /project submissions
• Occasional script reading and coverage, when requested
• Track and maintain content evaluation process within Programming team
• Interact with agencies and film reps to set internal screenings
• Attend in town screenings, when requested
• Take notes in meetings and summarize action items
• Draft and circulate deal notices both internally and externally
• Create and maintain festival and/or market target lists and post market wrap ups
• Complete ad-hoc assignments as needed
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's Degree or 3 years equivalent experience
• Knowledgeable, passionate and articulate about film
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated, self starter, resourceful in finding solutions to problems
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Office, Excel, Google docs, DocuSign)
• Must be an excellent writer and proofreader
Nice to Haves
• 2 year (s) of work experience in entertainment/media preferred
• Experience/ expertise in Airtable preferred
