Primary Responsibility:
The Production Assistant (PA) will assist in the development of concepts and production of on-air and off-air marketing pieces designed to promote awareness, increase subscriber growth, as well as educate and inform the viewer about the Starz products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for assisting in concept development, writing, and producing of video and/or audio spots or segments. This includes script writing, selecting music, video and graphic elements and directing voice-over talent.
• Responsible for the production of “re-tags” and video updates, by changing information and graphic logo elements on existing video promotional materials.
• Direct edit sessions.
• Create Executive Producer files through transcription of source tapes prior to edit sessions.
• Provide support for Directors, Senior Producers, Producers, and Associate Producers through the creation of clip reels, cross-channel promos and sales videos.
• Work closely with Affiliate Marketing Managers and Marcom Managers to assure project goals are being met and completed on-schedule.
• Assist in on-location video production shoots by performing ad-hoc duties as requested, including running errands, preparation and placement of props, and arrangement of catering services.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
• Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and to adapt to changes in organizational priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to create attention-getting promotional pieces.
• Knowledge of film and popular culture.
