Full Time Job
StarQuest International is a dance competition UNLIKE ALL OTHERS. In 2015 we will be entering our 22nd season and touring over 65+ cities to deliver a truly unique experience to young performers. We are a family who works hard and grows together. Collectively, we are a team of creative leaders with different skills and personalities who work non-stop together to deliver the best experience possible to anyone we encounter.
In a Nutshell
We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to command our NYC branch and assist in bringing us to the next level. StarQuest's producing assistant must be a smart & quirky person with the deep desire to inspire young artists and small business owners in the dance community through organization and planning, customer service, marketing and sales.
What's the Producing Assistant do?
• Directly report to Lead Producer, Michael Ian Cedar
• Overseer of the NYC office
• Deadline director; manage all department deadlines to ensure they are on target with their project goals
• Recipient of all incoming calls and e-mails from StarQuest staff, vendors and VIP customers
• Customer Service Team Manager & Trainer; main point of contact for all existing and newly hired sales staff
• Proofreading guru for all NYC office materials
• Guardian of the Lead Producer's calendar
• NC headquarters liaison for NYC office expenses and receipts
• Relentless updater for company training manual with new and evolving office protocols
• Staff event coordinator for virtual or in-person meetings
• Hold practice sessions for the concierge team through the season and train replacements
What's The Goal?
This is NOT an internship. You are NOT picking up coffee, dropping off laundry, or calling the Lead Producer's mother on her birthday. This is a full-time position for a driven person who is interested in gaining experience in a real time fast time producing and hospitality based environment.
You need to be someone who finds ways to ensure that the people you interact with say: ''WOW.''
