THE JOB
Marketing Assistant needed for a boutique talent management and production company that specializes in developing and producing projects for comedic talent, including TV shows, podcasts, digital projects and live comedy shows. This candidate will work closely with our talent manager/producer and top talent (comedian, actor, writer) who can be regularly seen on numerous networks including Showtime, HBO, and Netflix.
Ideally this candidate would work 2 - 3 days each week (6 - 8 hours each day). This is a part-time, hourly position to start with full-time potential for the right candidate.
THE DAILY
- Support company and company client's social media campaigns on Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Engage creatively to create specific campaigns for the company and team
- Brainstorm specific marketing goals, metrics, and checkpoints to track engagement and content sharing
- Develop content that engages followers (including fans of clients' and industry professionals)
- Write newsletter content, then style and publish electronic newsletters to thousands of subscribers
- Attend virtual and in person comedy shows/events for the company and clients and take pictures/videos to post on social media
- Edit videos for marketing materials using editing software/apps
THE ESSENTIALS
- Have excellent verbal written communication skills
- Be detailed oriented, organized, and proactive
- Willing to take initiative to lead projects and offer creative solutions
- Must have strong interest in social media marketing
- Experience with Canva, Squarespace and Mailchimp
- Experience with social media sites, specifically Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (additional knowledge of other channels a plus)
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- 2+ years experience in Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Marketing, Advertising, or similar background
