Intern - Public Relations

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Desired intern qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this part-time internship is in their Sophomore year of college or higher, and is ambitious, outgoing, and passionate about a career in Media Entertainment / Branding / Public Relations. The intern must be computer and internet savvy, resourceful, and able to work competently without constant supervision. S/he will be expected to work on projects on her/his own, and thus must be adaptable and able to learn quickly. Strong communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) are a must. Knowledge of CisionPoint, proficiency in PhotoShop, and familiarity with NY entertainment and PR industries are highly desirable but not required.

Intern responsibilities:
Intern duties will include, but are not limited to, making important phone calls, managing a database of corporate-level contact information, handling sensitive publicity material, writing pitches and press releases, assisting in planning special events, and working on additional projects as needed.

Other Details:
This is a part-time internship, taking place in the Lower East Side of Manhattan for at least 2-3 days per week with hours ranging from 11am to 6pm (flexible). Compensation includes travel reimbursement and a possible lunch stipend. As an added benefit, given our extensive connections to people from many different industries, we will also be able to provide the intern with contacts in her/his desired field and help her/him progress in whatever field s/he wishes to pursue in the future.

This internship is for the spring semester and will begin during early January. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
