Sportico is hiring an editor to join the award-winning sports business news publication.

We are seeking an Editor with extensive experience editing and writing for digital and print publications and deep knowledge of business news and sports. Excellent news judgement and proper use of grammar and AP Style is required, as is the ability to write clear and concise headlines. The editor must be comfortable working with a diverse array of voices and proficient with both short and long-form stories in addition to assembling newsletters and developing other editorial products.

The Editor must be well connected with sports knowledge and understanding of the industry. The editor will write and edit copy under tight deadlines.

Requirements:
• Sports or business editing experience (3 years)
• Strong editing and writing skills to produce impactful content in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure the standards of excellence are met in editing
• Excellent news judgment and ability to ensure accuracy under tight deadlines
• Demonstrate an ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, organize time, complete assignments on time and follow-up with a strong attention to detail
