Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Audio Engineering Intern to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to create and manage audio datasets, design custom sounds, and apply various audio processing techniques. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Pro Tools and have a strong understanding of sound design, audio manipulation, and basic mixing techniques.
Responsibilities:
Utilize Pro Tools to create and organize audio files.
Design and create custom sounds (e.g., kick drums, snares, hi-hats, synth, etc.) from scratch.
Ensure all audio files are original and not sourced from platforms like Splice.
Run audio samples through different audio processing techniques (some specific plugins will be utilized).
Create and document different variations per audio sample, capturing every parameter and option, per audio manipulation technique.
Label and organize audio files in alignment with existing labeling systems.
Maintain a high level of organization and self-sufficiency, with the ability to work from home.
Document progress and maintain open communication.
Have a basic understanding of mixing techniques and definitions.
Qualifications:
Proficient in using Pro Tools.
Must have their own equipment.
Strong understanding of sound design and audio manipulation techniques.
Basic understanding of mixing techniques and definitions.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills for documenting progress and collaborating with the team.
Eagerness to learn and stay updated on the latest trends in audio engineering & audio technology.
