Search for Automation Technician jobs in Atlantic City-NJ
Spiegelworld is looking for an Automation Technician to join the Hook in Atlantic City, NJ. This position is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and operation of the rigging and automation equipment onsite according to company policies. This position reports directly to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities
Operating a successful and safe aerial automation and rigging show track using the Commander console.
Daily and Weekly equipment inspections for the Automation and Rigging equipment.
Preventative maintenance on the Rigging and Automation equipment.
Maintaining up to date documentation and show files for Rigging and Automation
Maintain a good working relationship with our rigging and automation vendors, and being onsite for vendor inspections.
Training subs for show coverage as well as keeping existing subs updated on show changes.
Tracking consumables and spares that are applicable to the department and requesting restocking orders from the Production Manager in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned by your manager.
Requirements
Minimum 4 year degree in associated field, or equivalent work experience.
An Ideal candidate will provide evidence of continuing education in associated fields.
Current OSHA 10
Minimum 5 years of experience in the fields of rigging and automation of live entertainment
Able to lift 30 pounds
Familiarity with operating (Commander / PRG) automation systems.
Familiarity with inspecting acrobatic circus equipment as well as fall protection equipment.
Use of Microsoft Suite as well as being generally computer savvy.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
Must be team-oriented and self-motivated;
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an always changing, never dull, creative environment that creates memorable moments;
Passion for ensuring you deliver the highest standards consistently;
Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the constantly changing environment;
Must be comfortable working in an immersive environment with loud music and flashing lights;
Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays;
Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards;
Must have valid work authorization for the US
