Position
Localization Project Manager
Summary
The Localization Project Manager is responsible for the staffing, scheduling and tracking of a variety of dubbing and subtitling projects. You will coordinate with both internal and external resources such as translators, recording engineers, graphics specialists, audio mixers, and QC technicians. Using sophisticated software tools, the Project Manager oversees the entire workflow and ensures timely delivery to our clients. Occasionally you get to learn dirty words in other languages. You also will have exposure to both our software development and post audio services divisions.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
• Must have localization experience and understand dubbing and subtitling workflows
• Experience managing a variety of digital media workflows and asset management
• Familiarity with entertainment, post-production, and localization terminology
• A proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Foreign language skills are a plus
• Sense of humor always appreciated
Key responsibilities
• Schedule localization projects and define resource needs for assigned projects
• Curate all source assets
• Enter and manage projects in software management tool
• Launch project kick offs and provide external teams with project details and deadlines
• Create and maintain production schedules for external vendors
• Communicate deadlines and delivery expectations for downstream workflow needs
• Identify and manage schedule risks and escalate delivery delays to appropriate teams, inclusive of contingency plan(s)
• Communicate project status and delivery to clients
