Full Charge Bookkeeper
(This is an in-person, in-office role)
We are looking to hire a part OR full time bookkeeper at an established Talent Agency in West Hollywood. We are looking for a full service bookkeeper who also has experience in office management. Highly prefer someone who has experience in Talent Payments & light bookkeeping. This individual is willing to work hard.
What You Will Need:
At least 2 years of general bookkeeping experience preferred
Entertainment and talent payment experience a plus
Prior experience in a customer service focused role
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Proficient in Excel and Outlook
Experience or knowledge of NetSuite preferred
Ability to learn and adapt quickly with minimal supervision
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Review all invoices and payment requests for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
Code and enter invoices into accounting system
Process check requests and generate check runs/EFT payments
Audit and process credit card bills
Review/process/research expense reports
Ensure internal policies and approvals are followed
Reconcile vendor statements. Research and correct discrepancies
Maintain accurate files with thorough documentation
Related Work Experience:
Must be detail oriented and able to handle complex instructions with care, follow-through, and follow up.
Must be an excellent multi-tasker and have proven problem-solving abilities.
Friendly and open demeanor with ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast paced, demanding environment.
Dependable and proactive.
Able to prioritize the workload, and use time efficiently.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist agent in talent payments and light bookkeeping matters.
Ensure clients are handled appropriately.
Analyze content and related material.
Maintain payment calendar.
Follow up on outstanding payments.
Core Competencies:
All applicants should possess excellent verbal and written skills. Must be self-confident and diligent. Must be highly organized.
2 years minimum on Talent Payment.
Technical Skills:
Basic computer skills are mandatory.
