Seasonal Innovation Project Associate
Job purpose
The Innovation Project Associate supports the Innovation Project Managers in various aspects of initiated projects to achieve deadlines within budget and within scope.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist and support the Innovation Project Managers in their daily duties.
• Initiate and maintain project documentation
• Provide Quality Assurance on all projects
• Collaborate with the tech team to continuously improve tech support processes.
• Work with developers on customer-led improvements to SXSW tools and systems.
• Communicate progress through weekly status reports to the Director of Emergent Technologies.
On Site Responsibilities
• Provide 1st line technical support to SXSW customers via Zendesk, email and help desks.
• Technical troubleshooting for both SXSW customers and internal clients.
• Assist with daily tasks within any of the areas under the Emergent Technologies team.
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Manual dexterity is required for keyboard and computer use. This position requires you to stay upwards of 14 consecutive days away from home.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
• 1 years of experience supporting mobile app and web applications
• A strong desire to grow application development skills
• Highly motivated, independent individual
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong customer service ethos
• Problem solving ability in high intensity, time-sensitive situations
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working on technology or production for events/conferences/tradeshows/concerts a huge plus
Work Location & Schedule
Position is located in Austin, Texas. Core business office hours are Mon-Fri, 10am – 6pm. Must be available to work additional hours from February – March to include evenings and weekends.
