(S) Seasonal Film & TV Industry Admin
Job Purpose
The Film & TV Industry Admin works as part of the SXSW Film & TV team to assist in coordinating, communicating, and providing guidance for attending Film & TV Industry at SXSW 2025. They support Film & TV programming efforts by assisting in the coordination of logistics and travel for official Film & TV Festival Jurors, compilation and maintenance of the annual Press & Industry Screening Library, as well as the Film & TV Industry List, Rights & Contact List for Agents & Buyers, and other Industry communications. The Film & TV Industry Admin will be working with staff to assist with the communication of these Industry resources, assist with the facilitation of Film & TV Industry-related Guest ticketing efforts, support outreach, and contribute to and help maintain internal Industry and Ticketing databases and platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate logistics and travel for official Film & TV Festival Jurors
• Construct, maintain, and promote the SXSW Press & Industry Screening Library
• Research and review of new registrants and Film & TV Industry members
• Maintain the SXSW Film & TV Industry List for targeted outreach and event invitations
• Maintain the Rights and contact List for Agents and buyers with affiliations and business interests in SXSW-accepted films and TV Projects.
• Fulfill and distribute Industry-related guest ticketing requests
On-Site Responsibilities
• Provide customer service at the SXSW Film & TV registration desk on-site, alongside the SXSW Accepted Filmmaker Liaisons and SXSW Interns
• Additional Point of Contact for Film & TV Agents, Buyers, and Industry members on festival logistics and questions
Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications include:
• General Film & TV Industry knowledge and existing awareness of Film & TV production companies, agencies, studios, networks and distributors
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prepare, edit, review, and monitor mass communications
• Self-starter with strong prioritization and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Data entry experience
• Proficiency with Mac OS and the Google suite, including large-volume spreadsheets
• FileMaker and Airtable experience recommended
Physical Requirements
During the event, employees may be required to move boxes and equipment, stand for long periods, and walk daily. Schedules may vary during the on-site operational period. Manual dexterity is needed for keyboard and computer use.
Work Location & Schedule
The position is located in Austin, Texas. Core business office hours are Mon-Fri, 10 am – 6 pm. Must be available to work additional hours from October 14, 2024 – March 29, 2025, including evenings and weekends.
