(S) Merchandise Coordinator
The Seasonal Merchandise Coordinator plays an active role in all areas of the SXSW Merchandise operation, from concept to sales. The purpose is to assist the Sr. Merchandise Manager in the execution, production, and operation of the merchandise program for SXSW. This includes but is not limited to all wholesale and retail store locations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the design and ordering process
Support overall merchandise operation, contracts, accounting, and admin
Develop marketing and visual merchandising plans
Coordinate onsite logistics, receiving and distribution of products
Execute online and wholesale day-to-day operations and customer service
On-Site Responsibilities
Help with load in and load out of all merchandise-related items
Visit the Warehouse before or after the event as needed
Execute merchandise plans and visual displays at all sales locations
Assist with marketing promotions and content creation
Liaise with vendors, staff, and clients
Deliver stellar customer service
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications
include:
Event merchandise or production experience
An eye for design and interest in fashion or event merchandise
Customer service experience
Excellent time management skills
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with Shopify is a plus
Knowledgeable of Google Suite
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Photography and design experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to sit and/or stand for long periods with or without accommodation. Schedules may vary during the on-site operational period. Manual dexterity is required for keyboard and computer use. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation. This position may require you to stay 10 consecutive days away from home during the event.
Work Location & Schedule
The position is located in Austin, Texas. Core business office hours are Mon-Fri, 10 am 6 pm. Must be available to work additional hours from January to March, including evenings and weekends.
