Role Description
This position will work closely with the SXSWedu programming team to plan, produce, and execute on programming projects and needs throughout the season. This is an entry-level position through the 2017 event with a focus that includes, but is not limited to, the SXSWedu Film Program, Launch, Industry Hub, Playground, and the Expo. This role is best suited for a collaborative candidate with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a high stress and fast paced environment. The Festival Programming Assistant will work closely with speakers, assist with continued outreach and research, and aid in the selection of particular festival components in preparation for the 2017 event.

• Bachelor's degree required
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Self-starter with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills (being able to think on your feet is crucial)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service experience
• Strong attention to detail, copy-editing experience
• Interest/experience in education
• Interest/experience in event planning
• Proficiency with Mac iOS and the Google suite
• FileMaker experience recommended
Required Duties
• Aid in selection and grading of diverse programming elements
• Communicate with participants on all festival related components
• Manage information and compile assets for programming as it relates to marketing and external efforts
• Assist in internal programming processing, tracking and logistics
• Onsite support and coordination across all venues and programming
• Various programming administrative needs throughout the season
