(S) Seasonal Digital Campaign Specialist
Job Purpose
SXSW is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Seasonal Digital Campaign Specialist to support the execution and optimization of paid campaigns across digital channels. This role is key to ensuring high-impact content reaches the right audience at the right time.
Working cross-functionally, this role will help launch campaigns on schedule, publish social media posts, QA campaign materials, and track performance across platforms. This hands-on position is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their skills in digital marketing while contributing to a team focused on acquisition, engagement, and storytelling.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Plan, execute, and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across key platforms, including Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
• Upload, schedule, and quality-check campaign assets to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and on-time launches
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather final assets, secure approvals, and keep campaigns moving smoothly
• Monitor campaign performance, assist with weekly reporting, and highlight insights or opportunities for improvement
• Maintain organized records of campaign assets, performance data, and documentation in internal systems
• Stay informed on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging digital marketing best practices to inform strategy
• Assist with the execution of ad trades and paid partnership content as needed to expand campaign reach
Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications include:
• 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, paid advertising, or performance marketing
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience managing paid acquisition through content scheduling and publishing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Meta Business Manager, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads)
• Clear and effective communicator who works well in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting
• Interest in digital storytelling and engaging diverse audiences
• Knowledge of industries represented at SXSW and enthusiasm for working with the creative community
• Ability to multitask, stay agile, and adapt to shifting deadlines and priorities
• Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, Airtable, GSuite, FileMaker, and modern ad platforms

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift to 5 pounds occasionally, as needed.

• Ability to work outdoors, including exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels during the event.

Work Location & Schedule
The position is full-time and located in Austin, Texas. Core business office hours are from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday. You must be available to work additional hours from January through March, including evenings and weekends. You must also be available for the March event, which will have extended working hours on-site.
