Intern - Recording Studio

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

About us:

A new recording studio is being remodeled in the legendary Sound City Center lot and are now hiring interns. Owners credits include Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Michael Jackson, Blink-182, Mary. J Blige, Elton John, and Sting.

Duties:

• Immediate duties include cleaning up the location and assisting in the installation of high-end recording equipment.

• Studio supplies, recording gear, and food runs for owners, clients, and future staff members.

• Assisting in set up and tear down of recording sessions

• Cleaning common areas, studios, and bathroom.

Requirements:

• Must have an insured car

• Be proficient in Pro Tools

• Studio etiquette. Not speaking to clients unless you are talked to. Not pitching your songs to clientele unless they request it.

• Must be able to commit at least 16 hours per week

Plus:

• Musician

• Music theory knowledge

• Proficient in other DAW's

Both engineers are okay with interns sitting-in during sessions. However, this may change if the clients they are working with prefer to have a private studio setting.

Advancement to be hired is very likely as we currently have no staff and will be looking for an assistant engineer in the near future.
