VP, Post Production
This role will serve both as the head of Post Production for Screen Gems (as a full member of the Screen Gems management team, housed in the Screen Gems Culver City/Sony lot office and attending all Screen Gems staff meetings, and also as post-production supervisor on all Screen Gems productions
Responsibilities
(include, but not limited to the following):
• Read scripts for production, post-production, and vfx discussion purposes.
• Post-production budgeting.
• Create post-production schedules and manage them.
• Manage post-production accounts.
• Hire and manage picture editorial crew.
• Rent, set-up, and manage picture editorial rooms.
• Hire dailies vendors and supervise dailies workflow.
• Develop, in coordination with CTO's office, color path & resolution/render parameters for each film, based on DP's camera/capture resolution plan.
• Negotiate dailies packages and manage dailies process.
• Schedule talent ADR.
• Schedule loop group.
• Work closely with VFX management team and/or vendors.
• Approve VFX shots.
• If applicable, negotiate 2D to 3D conversion contracts and approve all 3D shots.
• Hire supervising sound editor.
• Manage sound editorial crew and schedule.
• Schedule temp and final mixes.
• Hire theatrical colorist and supervise theatrical color correction sessions.
• QC theatrical DCDM renders and wrapped 4K standard-theatrical DCPs.
• QC theatrical IMAX & Dolby Vision DCPs.
• Supervise HDR/SDR video deliverables.
Skills
/Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 years of post-production management .
• Must be able to multitask and work effectively under changing production & post-production conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Should have a working knowledge of NLE and color correction systems such as Avid, Davinci Resolve, Baselight and Adobe applications.
• Should have skills working with Google applications, Microsoft office, and budgeting software.
