VP, Information Security Architecture

The Information Security organization at Sony Pictures Entertainment is responsible to protecting our content, systems and data from being stolen, damaged or destroyed. To do so, we are constantly improving our tools, capabilities and processes.

The VP, Information Security Architecture will transform the Sony Pictures Entertainment Information Security Vision and Objectives into a progressive technology framework and ongoing roadmap. With their team and in partnership with Enterprise Architecture, the VP InfoSec Architecture will establish and share standard patterns and nurture a culture of security-by-design with our IT partners throughout the company. This role will require strong collaboration skills, working closely with domain architects and delivery engineers across infrastructure, data, integration, operations and application development teams.

The successful candidate for this role will be an articulate and effective technologist able to provide pattern-based guidance to help us solve the same challenges in the same way whenever possible, while diving deep into technical needs and business requirements to provide specific guidance when the standards are not applicable or practical. Deep knowledge of information security technologies, a high level of comfort working with both abstract concepts and very specific technical issues, and an insatiable appetite for learning will be keys to success.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive Information Security Technology Architecture, standards and roadmap, including supporting standards governance.
• Develop, maintain and effectively communicate a strong market and business-based perspective on the relative usefulness of new and emerging technologies and tools in securing Sony Pictures Entertainment information, content, systems and processes.
• Manage and coach team

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Technology or engineering degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Lifelong learning through formal training, research and self-development required
• Deep knowledge of information security concepts, tools and practices.
• At least ten years of progressively responsible roles in information security technology management and delivery, including at least five years in systems and information security architecture.
• At least two years of responsibility for an overall information security technology vision mapped to business outcomes and including a high-level investment and delivery roadmap.
• Expert at translating technical requirements into practical and understandable standards shared in ways that are easily adopted by technology delivery teams.
• Ability to seamlessly map abstract concepts to concrete implementations, as well as mapping implementations back to conceptual models.
• At least three years' experience managing highly skilled engineers and/or architects.
• Enthusiasm for being accountable for delivering outcomes and business results based on quarterly and annual commitments.
• Strong planning and analytical skills.
• Experience managing information security and technology solutions and services vendors
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, including knowledge of standard enterprise architecture modeling tools and techniques.
• Fluent in the languages of business and technology.
• Experience with DevSecOps highly preferred.
• Experience with and knowledge of ML and AI is a plus.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $238,000-$294,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
