VP, Global Publicity
The Vice President of Global Publicity is in charge of being the principal talent liaison on a global level for a motion picture through lifecycle marketing. The scope of work encompasses Columbia Pictures, TriStar, Screen Gems and
select Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisition titles. The Vice President of Global
Publicity also serves as the main backup for the Senior Vice President of Global Publicity with filmmakers and Studio executives.
Responsibilities include:
• Work with the personal publicists and studio publicists to set the talent's overall schedules
• Handle all talent requests and approvals
• Manage talent shooting schedules and oversee travel needs and itineraries
• Circulate itineraries to talent reps/ filmmakers as well as internal distribution
• Oversee Global Key Dates memos
• Responsible for managing and setting up pre-production meeting with unit publicist and internal team
• Works with the SVP on Filmmaker Decks, Deck Notes, and Talking Points
• Accompany talent and filmmakers when needed to press related events including junkets, photo shoots, personal appearances, talk shows and premieres
• Contributes individual creative elements to publicity campaigns for trailer launches, stunts, and press outreach
• Oversees International Publicity campaign efforts and strategy, including global talent tours, fan event, stunts and film festivals throughout the duration of the campaign
• Assists SVP with Awards campaign strategy and liaising with talent/agencies as appropriate
• Works closely with team to brainstorms new and innovative campaign strategies and cost-effective ideas for the film campaign
• Oversees, reviews and manages budget breakdown, assisting SVP with budget approvals, submissions and tracking costs throughout the campaign
Requirements:
• 15+ years working at the publicity department of a major Motion Picture Studio, Public Relations agency or production company
