OVERVIEW
The position reports to the SVP of Global Marketing Partnerships and LBE Marketing and is responsible for the creation, oversight and hands on execution of location-based marketing activations for a wide range of content within Sony Pictures Entertainment, including existing titles, library titles and projects in development. The primary focus in Location-Based Entertainment (LBE), includes Theme Parks, Attractions, Immersive Theater/Experiences, Touring Exhibitions etc. This is a multi-faceted role in the highly complex, dynamic world of entertainment marketing. Charged with managing and capitalizing on the ever-changing consumer trends and access points, the VP will work closely with our LBE partners and the various theatrical marketing teams as well as TV Distribution, Home Entertainment, Corporate and other Sony Sister Companies to elevate Sony Pictures' branded IP in this space. Additional special event and brand related projects may also be part of the scope of work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with EVP and SVP to achieve marketing goals for all global LBE projects in portfolio
• Oversee and develop marketing and PR related strategies from ideation to launch and sustainment for all location-based entertainment projects
• Oversee messaging strategy and review/edit press materials and announcements for wide distribution
• Oversee, review, and approve marketing campaigns and creative materials, in all forms of paid & earned media across OOH and digital channels
• Collaborate with licensees providing clear and specific creative and editorial direction for optimal marketing campaign results
• Collaborate with other LBE teams ensuring unified vision is executed from beginning to end.
• Act as brand advocate internally and externally
• Evaluate market trends, research consumer markets and competitors' activities to identify opportunities and key learnings
• Curate presentation decks for a variety of marketing purposes
• Utilize internal resources to maximize impact of marketing campaigns
SKILLS:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 10+ years of relevant marketing experience
• Vast knowledge in LBE and experiential marketing a plus
• Highly experienced with development of marketing strategy from ideation to launch
• Demonstrated success of building brands / franchises from conception, design, development, deployment and optimization
• Demonstrated experience in content creation and partnerships
• Solid understanding of industry trends, the partnerships and brand content landscape
• Deep knowledge of brand campaign KPI's, metrics, and analytics
• Creative, analytical thinker, fast learner who is driven, ambitious, and highly motivated
• Strong writing and editing skills for digital, traditional media, and social content
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
• Ability to lead cross-functionally and build deep relationships
• Results-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
The anticipated base salary for this position is $181,300 to $247,100. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
