This Summer Internship is from June through August 29th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 28 hours a week, Monday through Friday in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in continuing their education through professional experience.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Sony Pictures Classics acquires, produces, and distributes films from North America and around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Maintain an extensive archive database of film materials
• Perform QC checks on screeners and trailer cards to ensure all data is correctly entered
• Assist in bill pay coding and data entry
• Lead market research projects on an ongoing basis to keep up to date with industry standards and procedures
• Administrative duties including calendaring, expenses, and taking notes in meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
• Proficient skills in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain organizational skills while handling multiple projects at one time
• Knowledge of American independent & International films is a plus
