SPE TRAINEE:

This Summer Trainee position is from July 2025 through Dec 2025 (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This type of opportunity will jump-start your career and prepare you for a career in the desired field. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is a leading player in the global entertainment industry, handling the physical and digital distribution of films, television programs, and other content across media and retail platforms. We are seeking a dynamic Administrative Trainee to join our Networks & Distribution group. This unique rotational role offers the opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to the various C-suite desks within SPE, providing hands-on support for administrative tasks and duties. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in pursuing a career in media distribution.
This role offers the chance to develop key skills and gain valuable insights into the functioning of a major entertainment distribution powerhouse, setting a foundation for a promising career in the industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate in-person and virtual meetings, often across multiple time zones
• Greet and direct guests within the office
• Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and transportation for both domestic and international trips
• Process invoices (Ariba) and expense reports (Concur)
• Onboard personnel
• Updating databases and lists
• Proofread, edit documents/emails
• Maintain conference rooms, liaising with facilities and AVS as needed
• Ordering office supplies
• Assist in the coordination and execution of special projects, events, and initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Interest in administrative assistant duties and a career path in this direction
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite. Adept at quickly learning new processes and technology (i.e. Concur and Ariba)
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Must be comfortable handling confidential information and interacting with high-level executives
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects/competing priorities, and maintain a sharp focus in a fast-paced corporate environment
