This Spring Trainee position is from January through May 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Sony Pictures Story Department provides submission and project coverage for the Motion Picture Group and handles script distribution and archiving. The trainee serves as administrative support by assisting in the distribution of scripts and maintaining a database of scripts and coverage. This position is a great opportunity for those who have an interest in the process of feature film development or screenwriting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Digital distribution of confidential files
• Maintaining database, organizing records
• Digitizing old files (coverage and scripts)
• On-lot deliveries
• Communicating with other departments regarding script distribution
• Conducting research
• Corresponding with story analysts
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to handle confidential material in a sensitive manner
• Must possess clear communication in verbal and written form
• Must have good attention to detail
• Must have an interest in film
• Must be organized and punctual
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Final Draft experience
