Social Media Content Manager - Pure Flix
Pure Flix is the worldwide leader in selecting and streaming faith and family-friendly media that changes lives, inspires hearts, and lifts the spirits of members like you and those you love.
We are seeking a highly skilled Social Media Content Manager located in our Scottsdale, AZ office. In this role, you are a critical part of executing our overall social content strategy. Daily, you will be responsible for maintaining and executing our publishing calendar including publishing daily posts across various channels and managing the production of various individual social assets. You will ensure planning meetings are called, ideation and execution details are well documented, and appropriate next steps are taken to remain ahead in social content production across the various studio and streaming needs of Pure Flix. You will also act from time to time as a project manager in coordination with the internal creative team and external vendors for a variety of creative assets needed on quick turnarounds or on improvised plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Stay informed and organized on monthly new titles coming to the streaming service, coming to home entertainment, or theatrical news.
• Maintain and drive content ideation calendar of important events, people, facts, dates, themes…etc. for immediate and future content creation.
• Assist in the ongoing social content strategy across different social channels.
• Maintain publishing calendar with real-time posts and placeholder planned content.
• Ensure appropriate approvals are collected and received before posting.
• Ensure quality control of all publishing in the native platform itself, including copy, video sizing, captions, CTAs.
• Remain highly adaptable, flexible, and organized in order to pivot content publishing plans.
• Exercise relational, social media-friendly, communication balanced with proper grammar and word choice.
• Provide feedback and intelligence to other departments on ways in which Pure Flix can improve campaigns, marketing, licensing and acquisition, or other parts of the streaming service.
• Work cross-departmentally to align campaign strategies and goals across the organization.
• Stay up to date on platform updates on both social media channels, social tools, and posting best practices.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated proficiency in:
• Public written communications
• Communicating messages that connect with a faith-based audience
• Basic understanding of various social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
• Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite
• Social publishing tools (ex: Buffer, Hootsuite, HubSpot, Sprout Social, Agorapulse, Sprinklr)
Qualifications:
• Creative thinker that can invent and promote various angles on stories and content with passion, clarity, and connection.
• Extremely organized and highly reliable in attention given to details in calendaring and copywriting.
• Ability to convey empathy in written conversations and adapt writing to better read the online room
• Relational skills, and critical thinking that can adapt and customize messaging talking points to a wide variety of people and emotions.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Experienced in driving or supporting a social media team or marketing content calendar Education and/or experience:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field (preferred)
• Social media or social marketing certification; or content marketing certification (desired)
• 1-2 years in a professional experience on a creative or content creating team (agency or in-house)
• 1-2 years in a professional experience in an editorial environment
• 1-2 years on a social media team (professional or volunteer experience)
