Description:
Sony Pictures VFX is seeking a Senior Vice President, Visual Effects to lead the creative and technical execution of VFX for high-profile film projects. This position involves collaboration with filmmakers, vendors, and internal teams, overseeing budgets, schedules, and workflows to ensure innovative, high-quality visual storytelling. Reporting to the EVP, Visual Effects, this role requires expertise in VFX production, leadership, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of VFX production for assigned projects, from pre-production to post-production.
• Analyze scripts to create VFX breakdowns, budgets, and schedules, offering creative and technical recommendations.
• Manage the bidding process and vendor negotiations, aligning with company policies and budget goals.
• Collaborate with VFX Supervisors, Producers, and Vendors to deliver on-budget, on-schedule projects.
• Implement reporting systems to monitor progress, ensure transparency, and facilitate decision-making.
• Provide creative and technical guidance to maintain high standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and adopt emerging technologies to improve workflows and quality.
Requirements:
• 10-12+ years in VFX leadership roles managing complex projects.
• Proven success in vendor negotiations, budget management, and high-quality project delivery.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary for this role is $282,404 to $367,125 per year. The role may qualify for annual incentives and includes comprehensive benefits. Actual base salary will depend on the applicant's qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location.
