Senior Manager, Social/Editorial for Creative Center, Culver City
This position reports to the VP, Social/Editorial. This new role will assist in managing ideation and implementation of brand social and editorial that is created and executed through our global hybrid internal agency model within SPT, as well as assisting in the launch and execution of Sony Pictures Television Studios, SPT's multi-platform content publishing brand that aims to connect the SPT consumer with the stories behind the shows that they love.
In addition to evangelizing the ''One Sony'' philosophy by implementing the social editorial brand vision, voice and strategy for all Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) brands and IP, the Sr. Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of our global social content pipeline and global content calendar while working in close concert with the SPT franchise marketing team on community management and analytical reporting tasks related to SPTS owned channels.
The ideal candidate has experience in both publishing and journalism and is comfortable working within cross-functional teams - especially in a tech build environment. This candidate has used various CMS tools, social publishing tools, has a deep knowledge of social platforms and trends, can pull insights from both platforms and third-party data providers and is passionate about the future of media and storytelling and unafraid to offer ideas and strategies of how these methods can be used to further the SPT audience and engagement footprint. He/she is comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment within a nuanced corporate legacy business.
Duties and Responsibilities: Global Social/Editorial Strategy & Execution
• Advance the long-term strategy to build brand equity, relevance and credibility through our owned global platforms and digital distribution partners (both internal and outside of Sony) through creative multimedia storytelling.
• Manage our owned global editorial calendar and day-to-day editorial and social-centric communications with our global colleagues and other lines of business; Implement defined best practices and correct models for central vs. local management of channels.
• Work in tandem with franchise digital marketing team to meet ambitious growth goals without sacrificing creative or brand integrity.
• Work in tandem with Creative Center video/podcast producers, graphic designers, animators, photographers and art/creative directors to proactively execute social asset deliverables for global show launch & sustain campaigns as well as brand marketing initiatives.
• Assist VP in keeping a finger on the pulse of global storytelling trends, innovations, technologies and platforms; assist in developing knowledge and educational programming amongst internal and external stakeholders and colleagues globally.
• Create and collaborate on content based on trends and data insights.
• Track and analyze quantitative metrics and trends as they relate to content and storytelling opportunities.
• Manage relationships with other media and non-media organizations around the globe to create new and implement new opportunities and synergies.
• Help run day-to-day operations of new owned brand platform launches (website, podcasting slate, YouTube channel, etc.) as needed.
• Act as a storytelling arbiter, always vetting ideas and concepts to elevate the SPT/SPTS editorial voice and ensuring that all content is produced through our premium lens.

Work Experience Requirements
• 5-7 years of journalism/content creation experience within an editorial publication/newsroom.
• Deep knowledge of social platforms and content marketing toolsets.
• Experience interviewing/working directly with talent, talent-representation and being on shoots/sets and red carpets. Is comfortable and able to act as a representative of SPT in high-profile entertainment settings.
• A track record of creating multiplatform digital content that is shared, consumed and enjoyed.
• Has worked on a digital product/vertical launch team.

Creative Center is a global, hybrid internal agency that is a centralized hub for Distribution, Franchise, Syndication and Global Marketing, Home Entertainment, Global Networks, Ad/ Sales, Sony Pictures Television and Sony One Initiatives. Our focus is to service businesses across the globe within the Sony universe.
