Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Social Analytics, TV Distribution is part of a holistic research team that supports the marketing, distribution and monetization of television content globally. The position is physically located in Los Angeles as a part of the North America Distribution Research team but will provide support for SPE marketing, research and sales efforts across all territories. It requires high levels of curiosity and adaptability, the ability to multi-task, excellent leadership, communication and time management skills. Reports to the Senior Vice President of North American Distribution Research based in NY.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Social Analytics support for SPE Distribution Marketing, Research and Sales Teams
• Collect and analyze social performance data for SPE TV content throughout its lifecycle: from pre-premiere to in-season to off-network/library status
• Establish measurement frameworks and benchmarking systems to assess the effectiveness and impact of social media campaigns on program awareness, brand appeal and television viewership (streaming and linear)
• Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to develop, evaluate and adjust social marketing strategies and media campaigns
• With the support of the greater Distribution Research team, provide title-specific and overall marketplace reporting, in-depth analyses and sales materials
• Identify, understand and provide thought leadership on key digital and social trends, new consumer behaviors and zeitgeist opportunities that can be leveraged for drafting
• Present insights to key stakeholders, executives and business teams
• Develop social analytics skills within the Distribution Research team: train team members to further leverage social analytics in holistic performance analyses and sales support
Experience/Skills:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years' experience in social analytics, preferably with a media focus and specifically with an in-depth understanding of paid and organic social media
• Passion for social media, online communities, digital content and television/film
• Expansive knowledge / understanding of key social platforms (e.g. YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Tumblr, Reddit, etc)
• Able to distill and effectively communicate complex information clearly and concisely in written, oral and visual presentation; storytelling skills are essential
• Expertise with social listening and analytics tools (e.g. Talkwalker, Tubular, Brandwatch, ListenFirst, Canvs, etc.), methodologies and their applications
• Proficiency in executing social listening projects from start to finish, including writing and reviewing Boolean queries and analyzing outputs in relevant software
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Word, etc)
• Proactive, problem-solver; able to anticipate next steps for business needs
• Must be curious, ask questions, driven to find answers / solutions - and able to produce alternate workarounds when necessary
• Highly collaborative and comfortable working in a matrix environment
• Must be highly adaptable, flexible, organized, and able to multi-task: coordinate and prioritize multiple workstreams
• Must be highly detailed, reliable, and always maintain data integrity
Salary/Benefits
$109,288.00
- 120,000.00
per year
The anticipated base salary for this position is $109,288 to $120,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
