Senior Manager, Business Partner - People & Organization (Miami)
The Senior Manager, Business Partner, People & Organization serves as an advisor and trusted partner to business leaders across all Miami-based lines of business (i.e. Sony Pictures Television Networks, Distribution, Production, and Corporate). This role is responsible for developing and executing people strategies that align with business priorities while delivering comprehensive human resources support throughout the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, organizational development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, leadership coaching, and workforce planning.
The Senior Manager partners with the Regional P&O BPs and global People & Organization Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to implement enterprise initiatives and drive organizational effectiveness. This role also leads regional projects, leverages people analytics to inform decision-making, and ensures compliance with employment laws and company policies while fostering an engaging culture.
The position reports to the Vice President, People & Organization, Latin America.
Core Responsibilities
Organizational Culture: 20%
• Champion and reinforce the organization's culture by leading the implementation of People & Organization initiatives, organizational changes, and communications that support employee engagement and business success.
• Partner with leaders to analyze employee feedback and implement initiatives that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
• Communicate P&O policies and procedures to employees and partner with Legal to ensure policies, practices, and processes comply with applicable employment laws and local regulations.
• Serve as the lead for developing and coordinating communications that support organizational initiatives, leadership messaging, employee engagement, and change management efforts.
Talent Acquisition/Recruiting: 20%
• Lead the full-cycle recruitment and selection process for Miami-based positions including workforce planning, sourcing strategy, candidate assessment, offer management, and onboarding.
• Advise hiring managers on recruiting strategies, market trends, and talent availability to attract and select high-quality candidates aligned with business needs.
• Liaise with external staffing agencies, as needed.
• In collaboration with Miami P&O team, manage new hire onboarding and orientation process.
Day-to-Day Supervision and Direction (P&O Analyst): 20%
• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and prioritization of work for the People & Organization Analyst to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of HR services and alignment with departmental and business priorities.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities that support employee growth and engagement.
• Delegate assignments effectively while fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and a collaborative team environment.
Employee Relations: 15%
• Serve as advisor to managers and employees by providing guidance on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures.
• Coach leaders on performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and effective people management practices to foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Partner with Legal on sensitive employment matters while mitigating organizational risk.
Regional Projects: 10%
• Lead and participate in regional and global People & Organization initiatives, including HR technology implementations, annual compensation planning, organizational change initiatives, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems and processes.
• Partner with regional People & Organization Business Partners and global CoEs to ensure alignment, share best practices, and successfully implement enterprise programs and initiatives across client groups.
• Serve as the regional People & Organization representative on cross-functional project teams, providing business insight and ensuring effective execution of strategic initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Occupational Health, Vendor Management: 10%
• Partner with the Compensation team to review and interpret market analyses and provide recommendations on salary actions, promotions, organizational structure changes, and compensation packages. Support the annual compensation planning process by partnering with business leaders to align salary adjustments with employee performance, internal equity, and market data.
• Serve as primary liaison between Benefits team and employees regarding day-to-day benefits administration and implementation, including partnering with payroll on employee actions and questions.
• Ensure data integrity across HR systems while promoting efficient HR processes.
• Partner with S3 to communicate and implement Safety and Occupational Health programs.
Training and Development Planning: 5%
• Assess, recommend, and coordinate training programs to support development needs for client groups. Conduct special projects on an as needed basis.
Experience
• 6+ years of progressive and hands-on Human Resources experience, supporting the full employee life cycle.
• 3+ years of experience leading people, projects, and/or external vendor relationships.
• Entertainment experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree; Preferred degree in Human Resources/Organizational Development or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading HR projects and change initiatives; preferred in multinational organization.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms (i.e. Workday) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Skills

• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to support recommendations and business decisions.

• Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency highly preferred
