Senior Manager EMEA and Technical Operations FP&A (6 Month FTC)

Overview:
Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks EMEA reports trading for 25 channel lines of business across 9 international territories and are currently seeking a Senior Manager EMEA and Technical Operations FP&A to join their team on a fixed term basis.
We are looking for a Commercially orientated Senior FP&A manager to strengthen the planning and analysis department, and business partner the Technical Operations and Eastern European Networks teams. Running all recurring and ad hoc FP&A processes for all EMEA territories and act as a strong business partner across the Technical Operations functions, providing analytical & financial support, and aiding commercial and operational decision-making across the organisation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
EMEA Group Planning and Analysis
• Consolidation of territory finance deliverables
• Critical review of territory deliverables, including; trend analysis, alignment with accounting policies, deep water mark investment monitoring, and harmonisation of forecasts across different EMEA territories
• Management of submissions to Home Office with explanation and presentation of territory plans
• Work closely with the head of Western Europe FP&A on divisional analytics and presentations
• Own and drive improvements in budgeting, forecasting, systems and processes.
• Build strong relationships with key group stakeholders including US Finance planning and reporting teams, Territory FDs, Territory GM's, as well as liaising with the Finance Business Partners across the Group.
• Supporting the head of WE FP&A on channel acquisitions, disposals, integrations, and any other M&A activities
• Subject matter expert for roll out of any new functionality/processes that may impact EMEA ITF teams
Planning, Analysis and Commercial Support – Eastern European Networks, and Technical operations
• Prepare all budgets and forecasts, ensuring they accurately reflect the management teams' plans, targets and business strategies. Present plans accurately and succinctly to senior management in finance and operations.
• Support Technical Operations teams with supplier negotiations and deals, including scenario planning / impact evaluation, providing insight and support for optimal business decision making on proposed commercial activities
• Work with the RTR Hub/reporting team to ensure the trading results accurately reflect expectations
• Develop reporting for the EMEA Tech Ops teams to provide insight into financial results, to provide challenge to business, enable understanding of variances, and identify opportunities to enhance performance.
• Build strong relationships with key group stakeholders including Technical Operations teams, Commercial Operations ED, Territory FDs, as well as liaising with the Finance Business Partners across the Group.
Other
• Manage Senior Finance Analyst direct report
• Recruit, lead, motivate, develop and manage the performance of direct report
• Integration of new business launches/acquisitions and transition to on-going financial management structures, up to point of handover to responsible team
Skills
• Qualified Accountant with at least 3-5 years relevant PQE in an FP&A function, working with commercial teams
• Strong financial background with ability to evaluate financial impact of business decisions
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to present detailed analyses
• Organised self-starter, with drive and ambition who thrives under pressure, and is capable of confidently working alongside the most senior stakeholders across the wider business
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and to influence across all levels of management
• Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy & adherence to deadlines
• Experience of working in a regional group headquarters
• Experience of television networks preferable
