Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Operations
The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the Financial Operations Group which oversees the Order to Cash processes for Worldwide Distribution and TV Production Finance. The goal in this role is to ensure that financial business functions are streamlined through automation, training, development, and standardization of current and emerging business requirements. This entails having an integral part of vetting new business initiatives and decision support.
Responsibilities
• Extrapolate extensive data through queries to validate physical sales and EST reporting from customers
• Work with cross-functional groups to help troubleshoot and identify the root cause of item pricing problems identified to implement the best solutions
• Validate and generate adjustment entries to resolve sales order variances reported by customers
• Analyze TV Production agreements to interpret calculations for license fee and co-production billings and finalize seasonal TV production show costs by working with cross functional teams
• Audit Residual back-up and bill out monthly expenses according to the Network Contract per show
• Identify and communicate new monthly Network Billing Customer Setups with offshore Accounting team to relieve all suspense accounts for the month
• Work with Financial Executives to determine Network Breakage and Publicity billing calculations, gather all pertinent back up and process billings on a timely basis
• Determine the proper allocation for development fees to bill the proper parties/companies involved
• Process Credit Memos for Network billing and verify that submissions contain all the required support and COFA approvals to comply with SOX.
• Extrapolate quarterly digital data from monthly billings to report rev share partners share of net revenue
• Forecast Monthly Revenue for all Digital Lines of Business for Close and presenting figures to Price Yield Management, Sales and Finance Accounting
• Research and Report Quarterly Digital Commission Report for Account Executive's by campaign and work with VPs of Sales to determine revenue breakdown
• Assist in finance transformation to new technologies and ERP systems used to manage various lines of business
• Communicate potential process improvement strategies to enhance existing business processes and develop test scripts to ensure correct functionality and process flow
• Ensure business requirements for new system improvements and enhancements are met by providing test results and end user feedback to IT/developers
• Contribute to projects and business initiatives that impact multiple SPE finance teams
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting
• Provide support to show SOX compliance
Requirements
• 4-6 years of relevant experience; will have some impact on fiscal responsibility
• Bachelors degree in related field
• Accounting and financial policies and principles
• Entertainment Industry knowledge a plus
• JDE One World Experience a plus
• Analytical and strategic thinking
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and efficiently complete tasks from multiple projects
