Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Operations
The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the Financial Operations Group which oversees the Order to Cash processes for Worldwide Distribution and TV Production Finance. The goal in this role is to ensure that financial business functions are streamlined through automation, training, development, and standardization of current and emerging business requirements. This entails having an integral part of vetting new business initiatives and decision support.
Responsibilities:
• Review and research daily pricing discrepancies for orders placed/titles sold to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of variances
• Extrapolate extensive data through queries to validate reporting from customers
• Collaborate with the sales team to validate future reprice schedules, correct discrepancies, and ensure pricing events correspond correctly to reprice schedules
• Communicate price protection announcements to customers in a timely manner via reprice letter to ensure inventory reporting accuracy
• Work with cross-functional groups to help troubleshoot and identify the root cause of problems identified to implement the best solutions
• Review rebate claims to ensure submissions are reasonable compared to the respective planned promotion and actual title activity
• Verify that claim submissions contain all the required support and COFA approvals to comply with SOX; collaborate with responsible parties when requirements are not met
• Examine outstanding Trade Spend Credit claims and work jointly with cross functional teams to address unresolved credit obligations
• Review and validate invoices for TV Networks including Digital Ad Sales, Game Show and Affiliate Revenue
• Analyze aging reports to confirm TV Networks monthly accrual amounts
• Assist in finance transformation to new technologies and ERP systems used to manage various lines of business
• Communicate potential process improvement strategies to enhance existing business processes and develop test scripts to ensure correct functionality and process flow
• Ensure business requirements for new system improvements and enhancements are met by providing test results and end user feedback to IT/developers
• Contribute to projects and business initiatives that impact multiple SPE finance teams
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reporting
• Provide support to show SOX compliance
Requirements:
• 4-6 years of related experience; entertainment industry knowledge is a plus
• Bachelors degree
• Knowledge of Accounting and financial policies and principles
• JDE One World Experience a plus
• Analytical and strategic thinking; excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and efficiently complete tasks from multiple projects; Flexible and able to operate effectively, accurately, and efficiently in a dynamic cross functional team environment
• Demonstrates proactive task management talents and strong follow-through skills
