Senior Coordinator, International Media
The Senior Coordinator, International Media holds several major roles in International Media Group.
• Support the two Media Directors and Manager on Pan Regional Media Strategies planned and bought out of home office on at least 6 titles per fiscal year. This includes overseeing markets' pan-regional support and ensuring the campaigns are on strategy and within budget.
• Oversee the budgeting process for 10+ International Markets. This includes approving local media campaigns in these markets, ensuring total spend meets budget approved by finance and align with Box Office Goals and contribution targets. Furthermore, the sr. coordinator will be responsible for building market relationships and learnings with their respective markets.
• Ideate and work directly with all internal departments of the wider marketing team including social, digital, creative, publicity, etc. collaborating on big ideas for all titles.
• Create weekly media reports summarizing local + pan regional media plans from top markets to distribute to home office management team.
• Oversee the campaign billing process working with the Coordinator to ensure all invoices are processed and campaigns are closed/actualized in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Pan Regional Support and Execution
• Responsible for crafting media briefs on upcoming films, research strategies and planning parameters across designated titles with overview from Title Manager before sharing with agency buying team (based in London) for kick-off calls.
• Work across multiple titles reviewing partner opportunities, learn media formats, programmatic targeting, media weighting and budget allocations.
• Assist with creative kick-off calls and routing concepts for approval to various digital marketing teams for review.
Local Market Management
• The Sr. Media Coordinator will oversee a handful of International territories(10+ small to mid-tiers) and be responsible for the campaign approval of each film by working with respective markets to amend any strategic inaccuracies. Aligning market submissions with International media strategies led by Home Office to ensure global strategic execution and focus.
• Responsible for reviewing media plans, strategies and budget weighting to ensure it aligns with research and local market findings.
• Serve as regular contact with local market management teams to offer support and represent all of their marketing needs back to Home Office. Use this knowledge to leverage as much Home office support from senior management as possible to enhance opportunity of local market box office success.
Title Support
• Ideate big media ideas working directly with all internal departments of the wider marketing team including social, digital, creative, publicity, etc.
• Media Summaries – sent out every Thursday when movies come into tracking and shared with research + wider marketing team at Sony.
Billing Management
• Oversee all Pan Regional billing, making sure invoices are processed in a timely manner and titles are closed out.
• Oversee Media Coordinator to manage Purchase Orders and tracking invoices from OMD.
Learning & Development
• Organizing Media Platform guest speaker events to share globally via Teams .
• Attending internal Learning and Development courses to extend knowledge of how to use Sony tools and opportunities to enhance knowledge.
• Attending external training and learning events to improve knowledge of international media.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of Performance Media trading suite preferable, eg DV360, Facebook AdManager , IAS etc
• 1-2+ years agency or Client side grounding in all aspects of media planning, strategizing and buying
• 1+ years exposure to International movie marketing a real advantage; or exposure to international media operations via client, agency or media platform experience is also considerably advantageous.
• Knowledge of the theatrical business, and some knowledge of the wider distribution of movie content in Home Entertainment
• Experience in travel outside of North America helpful, and in interacting/working with other cultures. Foreign language skills a real asset but not required.
• Project Oversight – Strong attention to detail, willingness to wear multiple hats, building and tracking a work plan in a fast-based environment
• Digital media/marketing landscape – Familiarity with addressable media strategies, CRM, ad-tech (i.e. Campaign Manager), audience buying platforms and methodologies, digital KPIs
• Work collaboratively and horizontally across multiple teams with fragmented, vertical (title-by-title) priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with strong understanding of Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
• Self-starter with high level of initiative
• Passionate, committed with a high level of energy
• Must have an open communication style that takes into account managing expectations with multiple stakeholders
• Manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Strategic critical thinker who also has a high attention to detail

The anticipated base salary for this position is $49,300 to $64,700. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
