Based in our Beijing Office and reporting to the Head of Distribution, China, the Coordinator, Sales Planning and Operations (SP&O) is a one-year contractor role. The Incumbent will be offered with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales operations and business support while working in a dynamic media/entertainment environment.
We expect the incumbent is a detailed and process-oriented professional, capable to support the operation, implementation, and execution of the various aspects of sales activities related to SPT's film and TV contents distribution business in China.
What You'll Do:
• Sales Operation: Assist with the Sales Operation function for China, including cross-functional coordination for release lifecycles and censorship registration, preparation and management of localized product availability lists, full-cycle deal management and contract filing in system, precise data tracking and system inputs for booking and business tracking, and financial billing and historical sales analysis.
• Content Materials Administration: prepare and translate the required and qualified materials for censorship submission, track the censorship process & results and follow up with internal and external parties when necessary, and sales materials and presentations delivery to each client (TV/New Media/Production Company).
• Sales Support: Assist the sales team and clients in the region including contract reviews, capture and process amendments, sales tracking and notifications, sales performance data collection and tracking.
• Budget Preparation and Tracking: Assist with sales budget planning, preparation and tracking.
• Client management: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, delivering timely, professional, and clear responses.
• Other ad hoc sales and business operational support activities as required.
What You Need:
• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration or Supply Chain related disciplines.
• 1+ years in a capacity in any of the following fields – Sales Operations, Sales Admin, Sales Planning and Finance.
• Have a detailed and structured mindset. With good experience in handling, large samples of data in a logical and accurate manner.
• A team player and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent computer skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.), Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Mandarin, and proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of information systems management, business or sales administration, budgeting and marketing principles would be a plus.
• Experience, exposure or understanding of media/US entertainment industry with a particular focus on programming sales, distribution, and the social media landscape in China a plus.
• Please note that this role is based in Beijing, China. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the Beijing immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in Beijing for the duration of the employment.
