Position Summary:
Jeopardy!, one of the most popular shows on television, is seeking a Researcher to join the team. This role is ideal for those with a passion for trivia and a knack for research. The Researcher will collaborate closely with the show’s Head Writers to verify all on-air content, ensuring accuracy and inclusivity while enhancing engagement for viewers. This role has a direct impact on maintaining Jeopardy!’s brand and quality standards and may also involve work on spin-offs like Celebrity Jeopardy! and Pop Culture Jeopardy!

Core Responsibilities:
• Verify clues for accuracy, including grammar, spelling, and fact-checking
• Use various resources (online databases, reference books, expert interviews) to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with researchers and writers to refine and reword clues as needed
• Resolve conflicts within game sets by thoroughly reviewing test questions for consistency
• Assist the show host with pronunciation guidance for improved presentation quality
• Review all game materials to uphold high-quality standards
• Stay current with events and trends to keep content relevant
• Organize and update a database of questions and clues by topic and difficulty level

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, media studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience in teaching, journalism, or television research)
• Strong writing and grammar skills
• Exceptional research skills and attention to detail
