Overview:
Sony Pictures Entertainment based in London currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Recruitment Specialist to join their team.
Responsible for the full cycle recruitment process of diverse talent for the UK and rest of EMEA, the Recruitment Specialist will contribute to the evolution of a Global Talent Acquisition organisation by influencing candidate attraction through demonstrated business acumen, organisational knowledge, and deep expertise of the labour market in the region. The individual will report into the VP, Global Talent Acquisition and will be based in our London, UK office. The position will also take direction from the VP People & Organisation EMEA and team.
This role supports the three areas of Sony Pictures Entertainment: the Motion Picture Group, Sony Pictures Television and the Corporate functions together and all Joint Ventures in the EMEA region where required. Position will also undertake all administration surrounding the recruitment and onboarding process.
Responsibilities
will include but not be limited to:
• Collaborate with the Global Talent Acquisition and UK P&O Team to set the UK / EMEA pipeline strategy for various positions across multiple job families at all levels (entry to senior executive)
• Research industry trends and labour market data to further educate and inform stakeholders
• Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the internal and external market
• Conduct ongoing research to identify social platforms, databases, posting sites, educational institutions and other relevant associations to further drive our employment brand and aid in the attraction of top talent
• Identify and manage prospects across all job families and at all levels (entry to senior executive) through the use of intricate Boolean searches, user groups, candidate referrals, networking, and web sourcing
• Educate hiring managers on current interview techniques, the challenges that come with unconscious bias, the importance of diversity and the legislation surrounding the recruitment process.
• Undertake full cycle recruitment for all vacancies, including;
• Working with the business to refine job descriptions and obtain salary benchmarking
• Obtaining required business and finance approvals
• Job requisition creation in Workday applicant-tracking-system
• Writing and posting relevant job adverts to market
• Screening and assessment of all applicants
• Scheduling and coordination of interviews and meetings
• Creation of interview guides
• Candidate assessments and interviews with relevant hiring managers
• Writing and execution of employee agreements and other required paperwork
• Management and execution of new hire on-boarding process including references and verification checks and ensuring documentation is provided to payroll in a timely manner
• Providing updates and feedback to candidates at all stages of the process
• Management and control of UK Agency Preferred Supplier List
• Supporting P&O Director on ad hoc Recruitment and Talent projects that may arise
• Providing back up generalist support to P&O Director in P&O Adviser's absence where required and ensuring cover is provided to the Recruitment Specialist for EMEA
• Other ad-hoc duties as is reasonably requested
Candidate
Requirements:
• 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience within a corporate and highly matrixed organization - this includes sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates and managing the offer process
• Recruitment and job interviewing skills
• Requires strong knowledge of labour market in the UK and some knowledge of other key EMEA labour markets
• Excellent Communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the Organisation
• The ability to successfully adapt to a continuously growing and changing environment
• Proven understanding on how to source passive candidates and possess the mentality to profile people and gauge chemistry of candidates for fit and to understand their motivation
• Proven experience maintaining data integrity via an applicant-tracking-system – experience with Workday preferred.
• Ensure that an impeccable hiring manager, business partner and candidate experience consistently occurs
• Ability to effectively handle and manage highly confidential information
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to use independent judgment in prioritizing tasks to meet or exceed deadlines in an ambiguous, ever-changing environment
• Ability and willingness to conduct a full cycle recruitment process, including all administrative tasks
• Previous experience drafting employee documents such as employee contracts
• Keen attention to detail, efficient and highly organized; articulate both written and verbally
• Superior work ethic, accountability and ownership of work
• Demonstrates the ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
• Analytical Skills
• University degree or equivalent work experience
• Generalist HR experience a bonus
