Our Department
Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks operates branded entertainment channels around the world. The channels offer high quality film and television content from Sony Pictures and third-party distributors, as well as original content commissioned globally and locally.
The Role
Based in Soho, London, moving to new offices in Paddington 2020, this role will report to the Programming Manager and will support day-to-day linear and non-linear programming and scheduling activities of SPT's channel services AXN, Sony Channel and Animax in GSA.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Working closely with the Programming Manager in producing linear and on-demand schedules (in the scheduling software Vision and Bebanjo) and marketing information each month for each service.
• Gathering, compiling, writing and maintaining of German-language metadata, producing and distributing listings information to relevant platforms.
• Liaising with the Creative, Content, Traffic and Marketing teams in London/Munich/Panama to ensure support for key programming and initiatives across the schedule.
• Liaising with internal parties across different sites as a support contact for programming information.
Candidate Requirements
• Native German speaker and fluency in English essential
• Pervious experience working in TV programming/acquisitions/scheduling/research within a TV channels environment or adjacent industries is essential.
• Proven passion for the US and European content landscape
• Highly developed and demonstrable IT skills and knowledge
• Strong eye to detail in literacy and numeracy
• Ability to work independently and change direction frequently
• Self-directed, adaptable approach, ability to multi-task under pressure and work towards clearly defined goals
• Strong interpersonal communication skills in an international environment
• University degree educated or equivalent
