Production Office Coordinator - Sony Pictures Animation
Sony Pictures Animation has produced a variety of award winning animated features for audiences around the world since 2002 including such movie franchises as Hotel Transylvania, Smurfs, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse. The Production Coordinator supports Sony Pictures Animation Physical Production Department including administrative executive support for the Vice Presidents of Physical Production.
Job Description
• Serves as production coordinator for feature film and television projects in development.
• Provides administrative executive support for VP's of Physical Production.
• Provides desk coverage for executives as needed.
• Processes travel and expenses as needed.
• Organize and schedule meetings.
• Attend production meetings and take notes.
• Liaises with facilities, operations and technology as needed
• Updates and maintains departmental documents
• Answer phone calls including checking messages, rolling calls, keeping phone logs and prioritizing call backs.
• Special projects as needed.
• Keep supervisor informed by providing accurate and timely information.
• Direct people both internally and externally to the correct department to get the information that is needed.
• Organize paperwork that is received so that it is easily retrievable.
• Create trusting and open relationship with productions.
Qualifications
• 2+ years previous animation office or project experience.
• Highly organized, resourceful and dependable with excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a voluminous deadline-oriented department. Must be willing to take and follow directions.
• Ability to work independently and set appropriate priorities.
• Ability to take direction when needed and also take the initiative where applicable.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
Requirements:
• Must have at least 1-2 years in an animation production environment.
• Highly organized, resourceful and dependable with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a voluminous deadline-oriented department. Must be willing to take and follow directions:
• Able to work independently and set appropriate priorities.
• Ability to take direction when needed and also take the initiative where applicable.
• Trustworthy and ability to maintain a high level of discretion.
• Computer and technology literate – familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems, Photoshop, Word, Excel and Gmail.
