General Summary:
This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the programming and scheduling of our ad-supported streaming service as well as supporting the Latin American emerging businesses in planning and content selection. The SPT Multiplatform Planner will be charged with the day-to-day workflow including schedule planning, data entry, and communication with multiple departments as the key programming liaison for all matters related to the content strategy of our FAST Channels Business across Latin America. This role reports to the Manager of Content Strategy and Acquisitions and provides learning opportunities across various areas of the Latin American Content Strategy business.
Responsibilities:
• 15 % Collaborating to create new programming, and content strategies for the Latin American FAST business, analyzing content availability and performance metrics to create new channel opportunities and improve current channel performance.
• 20% Executing quarterly plans, detailed schedules, and programming grids from high-level content strategies.
• 20% Creating, updating, maintaining, and distributing programming calendars, programming schedules (grids/listings), scheduling formats/templates, master content inventory and content briefs, while clearly communicating all changes made after the initial release to all internal and external constituents on a timely basis.
• 10% Communicating with Operations to ensure timely material ingestion and deliveries to external partners.
• 10% Communicating with Marketing to ensure timely promo deliveries, create promotional strategies and assist with sales/client presentations.
• 8% Creating and maintaining programming episodes information within scheduling system, including program names, episode titles, synopses, house numbers and other types of metadata.
• 8% Assisting Content Strategy Manager in the Emerging business content acquisition process, upkeeping of internal rights systems and processing invoices/payments.
• 5% Supervising schedulers to ensure timely program scheduling in WURL for all feeds and problem solving (systems work).
• 4% Supporting Emerging Businesses, Networks Programming, Distribution Acquisitions and Media Planning departments in ad hoc special projects.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well under deadline-based pressures.
• English and Spanish Proficiency is a must (written and spoken)
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications (Excel, PPT, etc.)
• Preferred experience with database/content management systems (WURL, Vision, Landmark, GripIt!, etc.)
• Knowledge of USH/LatAm media and entertainment landscape (broadcast, cable, OTT) a plus.
• Proactive Team Player with strong problem-solving skills.
• Passionate about Latin American Film and Television Content or Content Strategy
Experience:
• 1-2 years television industry experience required in Programming or related experience in research, marketing, sales, operations, traffic, media planning/promo scheduling, or digital media.
