How do I hire a Motion Graphics Designer, Netherlands? Motion Graphics Designer, Netherlands (9 month contract)
We currently have an exciting 9-month fixed term opportunity for a Motion Graphics Designer to join our Netherlands office, creating both original and localised graphic designs and animations for all Sony's unscripted format titles.
Liasing primarily with our Senior Creative, Motion Graphics Design and Brand Management, in this role you will assist with all aspects of design, branding, and motion graphics for all of SPT's unscripted formats.
You will work to ensure the design and efficient development of all branded titles, products, services, and marketing support materials across all forms of media (including but not limited to: key artwork, board games, Apps, website design).
Duties include:
• Design and develop assets for the visual identity of SPT's unscripted catalogue, including logo design, animation design, print media, social media elements and other brand elements.
• Design and provide the relevant graphics and animation files for computer-generated formats to SPT's external software developers and hardware suppliers, ensuring a strong level of communication throughout.
• Create original logo branding guidelines for both SPT Marketing and Licensing employees and external clients.
• Take part in creative discussions and take the initiative to further develop/refresh the graphic and animation designs for existing titles in the SPT unscripted catalogue.
• Keep up-to-date with new and existing artwork, evolving brand guidelines and marketing directions for all properties.
• Maintain systematic electronic files on each product for easy reference and retrieval.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role you will typically have a relevant qualification in motion graphics, computer animation or similar with typically 5 years precious relevant experience.
You will also have or be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential
• Have a solid foundation when it comes to motion graphics and a portfolio to support this
• Have a background in art, graphic/ motion design or animation.
• Be passionate about graphic composition/design, typography, photography, motion and illustration.
• Find creative solutions for problematic designs to satisfy both the commercial needs of the client and the integrity of the brand.
• A talented Individual with an excellent eye for design, detail and accuracy, accurate spelling and grammar.
• Highly proficient and proven level of creative design and animation skills.
• A sound knowledge of corporate branding, design for print, information design, corporate identity, corporate communications, typography and advertising.
• Ability to build excellent long-term working and key-business relationships.
• An excellent appreciation for customer needs and expectations, provide excellent customer service.
• Possess strong time management, product management and project management skills including the setting of priorities and the ability to work on own initiative, carrying out tasks accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Possess a well organised and efficient approach combined with the capability to follow through.
• Ability to multi-task under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Adept at problem solving by applying flexible and workable product solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
Personal characteristics:
• A highly motivated individual with the enthusiasm, resilience and the drive to make things happen.
• Must be flexible and proactive with a 'can-do' attitude and a dynamic approach to work.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and a creative approach to all aspects of the role.
• Conscientious and focused, with an ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, prioritise and respond quickly to change.
• A confident communicator with the ability to forge strong working relationships.
Desirable:
• Proficient in After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator - 3D is a big plus (we work with Autodesk Maya).
• Highly proficient and proven level of IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in another language desirable.
• Experience within a TV studio environment before and during filming.
